The cutting units complete the production process by cutting rock wool products to the required dimensions with high precision. A complete cutting system typically includes edge trimming, longitudinal slitting, thickness cutting, and cross-cutting units. All cutting equipment adopts low-speed, no-dust cutting technology, ensuring clean and accurate cuts without material loss, while eliminating the need for dust extraction and filtration systems.
The edge trimming unit trims both sides of the panels after curing and cooling to achieve the final width and smooth edges. The trimmed scraps are milled and recycled back into the forming process, improving material utilization and reducing waste.
The longitudinal slitting unit divides the product along its length to obtain the required panel widths. The cross-cutting unit cuts panels to the specified length, using rotating saw blades or high-speed choppers depending on product density and line speed, all without generating dust.
The thickness band saw allows one felt to be split into multiple layers, enabling the production of thinner and lower-density panels while improving overall line efficiency.
